Company Mission:
Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture is a national leader in building community:   Designing inspired community architecture:   places to learn, work and play.
To understand and respond to the needs and aspirations of the users of the facilities we design.
To develop and use thoughtful practices and policies that respect and promote the preservation of our environment and seek the highest standards of design excellence.
To provide consistently excellent services to our clients.
To design projects that make a positive contribution to society.
To foster a work environment that nurtures maximum personal development, challenges each to excellence, advocates teamwork, and rewards contribution to the whole.

How BRSA Is Unique:
BRS believes citizens have a rightful place in public projects.   We are unequaled in a process we have created and fine-tuned:   a process that brings citizens into the project and empowers them with civic pride and ownership of their building.
We strive to use recycled materials and innovative practices to protect and preserve the environment.
We pioneered the concept of "Super Centers," community recreation centers unlike anything ever seen before, with something for everyone under one roof, a smorgasbord of activity choices.
We led the way in originating indoor climbing walls, leisure pools, and family locker rooms.
We designed one of the nation's first homeless shelters in Denver, the first zero-lot line housing development, and the first mixed use development in downtown Denver.

BRS OFTEN PARTNERS WITH LOCAL FIRMS IN OTHER CITIES, LENDING ITS DESIGN EXPERTISE AND COMMUNITY PROCESS MANAGEMENT TO CREATE PUBLIC FACILITIES. A 1+1=3 APPROACH - NATIONAL EXPERTISE + LOCAL PRESENCE = SYNERGY.

Places to Stay, Eat and Enjoy

We are located in Denver's River North neighborhood at the mixed-use TAXI development:

Places to Stay:

Curtis Hotel
Discover the distinctive flair of The Curtis. Some people describe The Curtis as fun, cool or whimsical.   Pick any one, or all three…it all adds up to a radically refreshing and different hotel experience.

Oxford Hotel
Lovely historic hotel with restaurant (McCormick's)

Hotel Teatro
The old "trolley car tramway building" converted into an upscale hotel with two excellent
restaurants, Kevin Taylor's and JouJou (both pricey)

Marriott Courtyard on 16th Street Mall
Converted Joslin's Department Store into a Marriott right on the Mall
Good restaurant - Rialto in the hotel.

Hotel Monaco
Converted historic bank building into upscale hotel - art deco

Places to Eat:
The above mentioned as well as many, many very trendy places in Lower Downtown. Seek out any of the newspapers, including Lodo News or Westword.

Places closer to our neighborhood include:
Café Brazil - ****
Reservations - the only Brazilian restaurant in Denver. Fabulous food. Located on a great block
of galleries specializing in "alternative art".

Bangs! ****
Great neighborhood restaurant - interesting and unusual cuisine - from polenta with grilled
vegetables to the best mashed potatoes in Denver.

Fuel Cafe*** Next door in our complex!
The menu is small but decisive with an inventive mix of salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and rustic soups. Owner-cook Bob Blair (formerly of Parisi) offers a daily entrée special. Don't miss Blair's homemade moon pies or the addictive chocolate-chip-pecan cookies.

Sabor Latino***
South American cuisine - great tamales wrapped in banana leaves.

Taqueria Pazcuaro***
Authentic Mexican food at great value.

My Brothers Bar ***
Brothers is a fixture in Denver. Classical music with burgers, Cajun
Tuna sandwiches, greasy french fries and beer.
